Moor Hall

New Build

PROJECT TYPE: New Build

ARCHITECTURE: S&S Architecture

KITCHEN: Neptune

OVERVIEW: We undertook the task of demolishing a dilapidated 1950s dormer bungalow situated on a highly coveted road in Sutton Coldfield. Through a meticulous process spanning approximately 15 months, we constructed a grand 6,000 square ft residence employing a diverse range of construction techniques.

The structure boasts a steel frame, and features a traditional front elevation adorned with Furness Brick and Ilam stone cills. In contrast, the rear of the house showcases a more contemporary design with floor-to-ceiling glass, a cantilevered over-hanging bedroom, and standing seam zinc cladding. Additionally, a balcony offers picturesque views of the golf course, complemented by a frameless glass balustrade.

Inside, a bifurcated staircase crafted from solid Ash leads up to a spacious open landing with high, vaulted ceilings. The bathrooms are finished with Samuel Heath brassware, while the kitchen boasts a wine cellar by Spiral Cellars.
