PROJECT TYPE: Refurbishment & Extension
ARCHITECTURE: ETC
GLAZING: Maxlight
OVERVIEW: A privately owned Grade II listed building spanning over 11,000 square feet and four floors. We converted this historic Arts and Crafts property into an impressive modern family home over 12 months. In adherence to the plan, traditional materials were seamlessly blended with more contemporary features in order to pass the rigorous process of sympathetically transforming the property.
Natural light was key to the design of the property, with both the structural glass corridors and the disappearing 5.1m sliding glass doors supplied and installed by Maxlight. These glass features encase a polished concrete floor that runs throughout the ground floor of the extension, which continues to the outside slimline Aquabocci drainage used against the door thresholds to catch water and send to soakaways.
Further internal features include beautifully restored oak panels in the entrance hallway and bold encaustic floor tiles in the boot room.
